If you are intending to use a Guest Mooring, details are available on this site.

If you want to inquire about moorings in the bay, access application and renewal forms and instructions for completion and submission, or read the rules for mooring a boat, please choose an option from the Main Menu.

Moorings are broadly adjacent to the village and split into four sectors as indicated on the map

As a mooring licensee (holder), you are entitled to volunteer for a position in the Findhorn Fairway Committee. If you would like to participate in the management of the moorings, please let us know via the Contact Form

Many will be aware that the Landfall Buoy has not been placed for a number of years. The committee has now progressed with the authorities to "permanently disestablish" the mark; in effect removing it from charts etc. This note is to let you know this has happened and that there will be no Landfall Buoy placed in the foreseeable future. (Please don't confuse the Landfall Buoy with the Bar Buoy (Red) at the gut of the entrance to the channel by the barrier sandbanks, this will placed as usual)

If a licensee relinquishes a mooring, the mooring tackle has to be dealt with. There are really only three options

  1. For the mooring holder to lift the mooring tackle and remove it
  2. To gift the tackle to the Findhorn Fairway Committee, who will then lift the tackle and make use of all or parts of it as feasible.
  3. To pass it on to another mooring holder

Please ensure the committee knows what you want to happen prior to leaving the fairway.
